| Notes: | Photo provide by family Obitury from funeral home site essentialscbs.com ======================== It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John, who peacefully left us on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at Niagara Falls General Hospital. John passed away surrounded by the love of his son, Dustin, Dustin’s mother Lori, and his best friend Vicki. He will also be dearly missed by his family, Joy, Denny, Murial Joy, Lionel Booker, and Wayne, whom John lovingly referred to as his "brother from another mother." In his younger years, John found freedom and joy in riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. His sense of humor, his rebellious spirit, and his ability to do things his own way made him a unique and unforgettable presence. As a machinist by trade, John worked with precision, but his true passion was in living life on his own terms. He was a good man, a true character, and someone who always knew how to make those around him smile. Though John’s time in the hospital was brief, his family is deeply grateful to the palliative care team in Unit C for their compassionate support during his final days. While his passing leaves a void, we take comfort in knowing that John is now free from pain and riding his Harley in Heaven, the wind gently drifting through his hair, with a smile on his face. John’s wish was for people to remember him fondly, not through mourning, but by celebrating the good times shared. A celebration of his life will be held in the new year at a later date, and details will be provided closer to that time. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in John's honour. |
